Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 and produce sparks 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
