Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
HA MIM. 1 I swear by the Book that makes things clear: 2 We have made it an Arabic Koran in order that you understand. 3 And the Qur’an is undoubtedly, in the Original Book with Us, surely the exalted, full of wisdom. 4 Then should We turn the message away, disregarding you, because you are a transgressing people? 5 And how many Prophets We did send among the earlier people! 6 But there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him. 7 Then We destroyed men mightier than these in prowess; and the example of the men of old hath gone (before them). 8 Yet, if you ask them who created the heavens and the earth, they will answer: 'The Almighty, the Knower created them' 9 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and appointed ways for you therein, that haply you may be guided; 10 And who sends down rain from the sky in measured amounts, and We revive thereby a dead land - thus will you be brought forth - 11 It is He who has created everything in pairs and the ships and cattle for you to ride, 12 so that perhaps when you ride them, you will recall the bounties of your Lord and when you establish your control over it you would say, "Glory belongs to Him who has made it subservient to us when we would not have been able to do so ourselves. 13 To our Lord we shall all return". 14 Yet they assign to Him some of His own (created) worshipers! Clearly, the human is unthankful. 15
