And indeed We have created man, and We know what his ownself whispers to him. And We are nearer to him than his jugular vein (by Our Knowledge). 16 When the two (angels) who keep the account, one sitting on the right, one on the left, take it down, 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 'Thou wast heedless of this; therefore We have now removed from thee thy covering, and so thy sight today is piercing.' 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 The command was given: “Cast into Hell every hardened, stubborn unbeliever, 24 "Hinderer of good, transgressor, doubter, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His accompanying devil said, “Our Lord! I did not cause him to rebel, but he himself was in extreme error.” 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 My Word is not changed; and never do I inflict the least wrong upon My servants.” 29
