Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
