Say: Who guardeth you in the night or in the day from the Beneficent? Nay, but they turn away from mention of their Lord! 42 Or have they gods that shall defend them apart from Us? Why, they are not able to help themselves, nor shall they be guarded in safety from Us. 43 But in fact We have given these (disbelievers) and their fathers a benefit to the extent that life became long for them; so do they not see that We are reducing the land from its borders? So will these be victorious? 44 Say: "I am warning you by God's command." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned. 45 And if a breath (minor calamity) of the Torment of your Lord touches them, they will surely cry: "Woe unto us! Indeed we have been Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.). 46 And We will set up a just balance on the day of resurrection, so no soul shall be dealt with unjustly in the least; and though there be the weight of a grain of mustard seed, (yet) will We bring it, and sufficient are We to take account. 47 We gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion, and a light and reminder for those who take heed for themselves, 48 Those who fear their Lord in secret and who dread the Hour (of doom). 49 And this is a blessed reminder that We have sent down. Will you then deny it? 50
