Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
