The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am naught but a warner manifest. 115 They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death). 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
