The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So respite thou the infidels - respite them gently, 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
