HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
