Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
