The Companions of the Rocky Tract also rejected the messengers: 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Look not with your eyes ambitiously at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them (the disbelievers), nor grieve over them. And lower your wings for the believers (be courteous to the fellow-believers). 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 about what they did. 93 Hence, proclaim openly all that thou hast been bidden [to say,] and leave alone all those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God: 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
