The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
118 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Prophets (Al-Anbyaa') before Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 who observe Zakah; 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 and who guard their Prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
