No, by the moon! 32 By the receding night 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 A warning for people -- 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 who will be in Paradise 40 and will ask of the criminals, 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
