۞ And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat. 57 And say: "Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people. 58 but he was only a servant We favoured and made an example for the Children of Israel: 59 And if We willed, We could have established angels on the earth instead of you. 60 And indeed Eisa is a sign* of the Last Day, therefore do not ever doubt in the Last Day, and obey Me**; this is the Straight Path. (* The advent of Prophet Eisa to earth for the second time. ** By obeying the Noble Messenger.) 61 Let not Satan hinder you (from believing in the Hour), for surely he is your open enemy. 62 And when 'Iesa (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, therefore fear Allah and obey me, 63 Verily God is my Lord and your Lord; so worship Him. This is the straight path." 64 But the factions differed among themselves. Woe alas to the sinners for the torment of the grievous Day! 65 Are they merely waiting for the Hour, which will come upon them suddenly and take them unawares? 66 Close friends will turn into enemies of one another on that Day, except the pious. 67
