And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 and they will say, 'Shall we be respited?' 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
