۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 Stop them. They must be questioned." 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 On couches facing one another; 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Wherein there is no headache nor are they made mad thereby. 47 And with them shall be those who restrain the eyes, having beautiful eyes; 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 He saith: Will ye look? 54 Then he looked down and saw him in the midst of hell. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 Then, are we not to die 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 Surely We have made it to be a trial to the unjust. 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 And once again: Verily, the blazing fire is their ultimate goal 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
