We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
