Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say thou: it is a tiding mighty. 67 yet you ignore it. 68 "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves. 69 it has only been revealed to me that I am a plain warner." 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 Not so lblis. He grew stiffnecked and became of the infidels. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
