▼ 52 The Mountain
Al-Toor 2 of 2
Wherefore admonish thou! thou art not, by the grace of thy Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time! 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds? 32 Or do they say, "He has invented it himself"? Indeed, they are not willing to believe. 33 Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim. 34 Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Or is it that you ask of them any recompense so that they should fear to be weighed down under the burden of debt? 40 Or is it that they have access to (the Truths in) the realm beyond sense-perception which they are writing down? 41 Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared! 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 Wherefore let them alone, till they meet their Day whereon they shall swoon. 45 the day when their guile shall avail them naught, and they shall not be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not. 47 So wait patiently for the Judgement of your Lord -- you are certainly under Our watchful eye. And glorify and celebrate the praises of your Lord when you rise up [from your sleep]. 48 and proclaim the praise of thy Lord in the night, and at the declining of the stars. 49

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
