▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
For any who fears to stand before his Lord are two Gardens. 46 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 47 Containing all kinds (of trees and delights);- 48 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 49 therein two fountains of running water -- 50 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 51 In them (both) will be every kind of fruit in pairs. 52 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 53 Reclining there on carpets lined with brocade, fruits of the garden hanging low within reach. 54 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? 55 Therein are maidens of modest gaze, whom neither a man nor a jinn had ever touched before them. 56 Which of the favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 57 As though they are jacinth and coral. 58 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 59 Is the reward for good [anything] but good? 60 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 61 And besides these two are two (other) gardens: 62 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 63 Both inclining to blackness. 64 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 65 In both of them are two springs gushing forth. 66 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 67 In both are fruits and palms and pomegranates. 68 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 69 Therein will be damsels agreeable and beauteous. 70 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 71 Houris (beautiful, fair females) restrained in pavilions; 72 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 73 Whom neither a man or jinn had ever touched before them. 74 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets. 76 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Majesty and Glory. 78
