Nay, and by the moon, 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning for people -- 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 From the guilty. 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay; every one of them desires that he may be given pages spread out; 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
