Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Nay! You shall come to know! 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
