The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the mountains (feeling themselves) secure. 82 and the Cry seized them in the morning; 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes after what We have given certain classes of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and make yourself gentle to the believers. 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers, 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Proclaim thy Lord's praise, and be of those that bow, 98 And go on worshipping your Lord till the certainty (of death) comes upon you. 99
