It is He Who has endowed you with the faculties of hearing and sight and has given you hearts (to think). Scarcely do you give thanks. 78 And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back. 79 It is He who revives and makes to die, and to Him belong the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not understand! 80 And talk as did the people of old. 81 they say: "What! After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 82 We were already promised this, we and our forefathers. Lo! this is naught but fables of the men of old. 83 Ask them: "Whose is the earth and those who are in it? Tell us if you know" 84 They will surely say: God's. Say thou: will ye not then heed? 85 Say, “Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Tremendous Throne?” 86 They will say, "[They belong] to Allah." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will reply spontaneously, "It is God." Ask them, "Why has falsehood bewitched you?" 89 Nay, but We have brought them the Truth, and lo! they are liars. 90 Allah has not taken to Himself any son, there is no other god with Him. Were this otherwise each god would have taken that which he created, and some of them would have risen above others; Exalted is Allah beyond that they describe! 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
