Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Your Lord is indeed the Creator of all, the All-Knowing. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 and say: "Behold, I am indeed the plain warner [promised by God]! 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 for whatever they have done! 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,- 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
