We have explained (things) in various (ways) in this Qur'an, in order that they may receive admonition, but it only increases their flight (from the Truth)! 41 Say: 'If there had been other gods with Him, as they say, they would surely have sought a way to the Lord of the Throne' 42 Hallowed be He, and exalted be He above that which they say - a great height! 43 The seven heavens and the earth and all who dwell therein glorify Him. There is not a single thing but glorifies Him with His praise; but you do not understand their glorification. Truly, He is forbearing and most forgiving." 44 But [thus it is:] whenever thou recitest the Qur'an, We place an invisible barrier between thee and those who will not believe in the life to come: 45 And We put coverings over their hearts (and minds) lest they should understand the Qur'an, and deafness into their ears: when thou dost commemorate thy Lord and Him alone in the Qur'an, they turn on their backs, fleeing (from the Truth). 46 We know best of what they listen to, when they listen to you. And when they take secret counsel, behold, the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.) say: "You follow none but a bewitched man." 47 See what they compared you to. They have surely gone astray and cannot find a Path. 48 The pagans say, "When we become mere bones and dust, shall we then be brought back to life again?" 49 Say thou: become ye stones or iron. 50 ۞ or some creation yet more monstrous in your minds!' Then they will say, 'Who will bring us back?' Say: 'He who originated you the first time.' Then they will shake their heads at thee, and they will say, 'When will it be?' Say: 'It is possible that it may be nigh, 51 On the day when He will call you forth, then shall you obey Him, giving Him praise, and you will think that you tarried but a little (while). 52
