۞ Say: "I urge upon you only one thing: Stand up for God two by two or one by one, and think and reflect!" There is no madness about your companion. He is a warner against the dreadful affliction (that awaits). 46 Say, "If I have asked you for any recompense, you can keep it. It is God alone who will reward me: He is the witness of all things." 47 Say to them, "My Lord hurls forth the Truth [at falsehood] and He is the knower of hidden things." 48 Say thou: the truth is come, and falsehood shall neither originate nor be restored. 49 Say, "If I go astray it will only be against my own soul, but if I receive guidance, it will be through my Lord's revelations." He is All-hearing and Omnipresent. 50 And if you could see when they are terrified but there is no escape, and they will be seized from a place nearby. 51 And they will say, "We do believe (now) in the (Truth)"; but how could they receive (Faith) from a position (so far off,- 52 Seeing that they did reject Faith (entirely) before, and that they (continually) cast (slanders) on the unseen from a position far off? 53 A barrier shall be raised between them and what they desired, as was done with their partisans before. They too were filled with disquieting doubt. 54
