The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: shall we indeed be restored to the first state, 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 And lo! they will be awakened. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
