Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 From which you turn away. 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 Not so lblis. He grew stiffnecked and became of the infidels. 74 Said He, 'Iblis, what prevented thee to bow thyself before that I created with My own hands? Hast thou waxed proud, or art thou of the lofty ones?' 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 My condemnation will be with you until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 that I shall certainly fill hell with you and your followers all together". 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
