Hast thou not turned thy vision to thy Lord?- How He doth prolong the shadow! If He willed, He could make it stationary! then do We make the sun its guide; 45 Then We draw it in towards Ourselves,- a contraction by easy stages. 46 And He it is Who made the night a covering for you, and the sleep a rest, and He made the day to rise up again. 47 And He it is who sends forth the winds as a glad tiding of His coming grace; and [thus, too,] We cause pure water to descend from the skies, 48 to revive the barren land and provide water for many creatures, cattle, and people. 49 And We have distributed the (water) amongst them, in order that they may celebrate (our) praises, but most men are averse (to aught) but (rank) ingratitude. 50 If We had willed, We would have raised up in every city a warner. 51 So, O Prophet, do not yield to the disbelievers, but wage a Jihad against them with this Qur'an. 52 ۞ It is He who released the two bodies of flowing water, one sweet and fresh and the other salty and bitter, and set up an insurmountable barrier between them. 53 And it is He who created the human from water and gave him kindred of blood and of marriage. Your Lord is the Powerful. 54 Yet do they worship, besides Allah, things that can neither profit them nor harm them: and the Misbeliever is a helper (of Evil), against his own Lord! 55 And We have not sent you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) except as a Herald of glad tidings and warnings. 56 Say: I ask of you no reward for this, save that whoso will may choose a way unto his Lord. 57 And put thy trust in Him Who lives and dies not; and celebrate his praise; and enough is He to be acquainted with the faults of His servants;- 58 In six days He created the earth and the heavens and all that is between them; then He established Himself on the "Throne" (of the Kingdom of the uriverse). (He is) the Merciful: as to His Glory, ask the one who knows. 59 And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion. ۩ 60
