It is God who appointed for you the cattle, some of them to ride and of some you eat; 79 And there are (other) advantages in them for you (besides); that ye may through them attain to any need (there may be) in your hearts; and on them and on ships ye are carried. 80 He shows you His signs; which then of the signs of God will you deny? 81 Have they not travelled in the land to see the nature of the consequence for those before them? They were more numerous than these, and mightier in power and (in the) traces (which they left behind them) in the earth. But all that they used to earn availed them not. 82 When their Messengers came to them with Clear Signs, they arrogantly exulted in whatever knowledge they had. They were then encompassed by what they had mocked. 83 but when they saw Our punishment, they said, "We believe in God, the One God, and we reject the partners we used to associate with Him," 84 but believing after seeing Our punishment did not benefit them at all: this is the law of God to deal with His creatures, and thus the disbelievers were the losers. 85
