The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And by those who float in space, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 He then turned away, striving in his effort. 22 and then he gathered [his great ones,] and called [unto his people,] 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 you pay attention 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
