Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters." 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim. 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or, has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are overburdened by a debt? 40 Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Or have they a god other than God? Exalted be God over what they ascribe as partners [to Him]! 43 And were they to see a portion of the sky falling, they will say, “It is a heap of clouds.” 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. 46 And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know. 47 Be patient, then, (O Prophet), until the judgement of your Lord comes. For surely you are before Our eyes. And celebrate the praise of your Lord when you rise, 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
