Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Fearing that a great disaster is going to befall them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
