Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 Roasted they shall be therein on the Day of Requital. 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
