Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 it is no merriment. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
