The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 who created and shaped, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
