And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We rescued him and his household from the great calamity. 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 When Allah hath created you and what ye make? 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 [And he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!" 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called to him, "Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
