O YOU who have attained to faith! Do not gorge yourselves on usury, doubling and re-doubling it - but remain conscious of God, so that you might attain to a happy state; 130 And fear the Fire, which has been prepared for the disbelievers. 131 and obey God and the Messenger, so that you may be given mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a garden as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous 133 for those who spend, both in prosperity and adversity, who restrain their anger and are forgiving towards their fellow men -- God loves those who do good works. 134 And those who, when they do an evil thing or wrong themselves, remember Allah and implore forgiveness for their sins - Who forgiveth sins save Allah only? - and will not knowingly repeat (the wrong) they did. 135 their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing through them, where they will abide forever. How excellent will be the reward of those who do good works. 136 Indeed there have been examples before you; therefore travel in the earth and see what was the end of the rejecters. 137 This (Quran) is a reminder for the people and a guide and advice for the pious. 138 And do not be negligent nor grieve – it is you who will be victorious if you are believers. 139 If ye have received a blow, the (disbelieving) people have received a blow the like thereof. These are (only) the vicissitudes which We cause to follow one another for mankind, to the end that Allah may know those who believe and may choose witnesses from among you; and Allah loveth not wrong-doers. 140 And that Allah may test (or purify) the believers (from sins) and destroy the disbelievers. 141 Do you think that you will enter the garden while Allah has not yet known those who strive hard from among you, and (He has not) known the patient. 142 And verily ye used to wish for death before ye met it (in the field). Now ye have seen it with your eyes! 143
