Ask them, "Who can protect them from (the wrath of) the Beneficent God during the night and day?" Yet they are neglectful about their Lord. 42 Have they gods who defend them beside Us? They are not able to succour themselves, and against Us they cannot be kept company with. 43 We gave days of enjoyment to them and their fathers until their life became long. Are they unable to see how We come to their land and reduce its borders. Or, is it they who are the victors? 44 Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I warn you only by the Inspiration. But the deaf hear not the call when they are warned. 45 And if a blast of the chastisement of your Lord were to touch them, they will certainly say: O woe to us! surely we were unjust. 46 And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners. 47 And assuredly We vcuchsafed unto Musa and Harun the distinction and illumination and an admonition for the God-fearing. 48 for those who fear their Lord without seeing Him and dread the Hour (of Reckoning). 49 And this is a blessed reminder that We have sent down. Will you then deny it? 50
