Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
