Wherefore admonish thou! thou art not, by the grace of thy Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say: A poet, we wait for him the evil accidents of time. 30 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters." 31 Or, do their intellects order them to do this? Or, are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful. 34 Have they not been created by aught, or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and earth? Nay, but they have not sure faith. 36 Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]? 37 Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest! 38 Do the daughters belong to Him and the sons to you? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or desire they to outwit? The unbelievers, they are the outwitted. 42 Have they, then, any deity other than God? Utterly remote is God, in His limitless glory, from anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 43 Even if they saw lumps falling from heaven, they would say, 'A massed cloud!' 44 so leave them alone till they face the Day on which they will be struck dumb, 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 The unjust will suffer other torments besides this but most of them do not know. 47 Wait patiently for the command of your Lord. We are watching over you. Glorify your Lord when you rise during the night 48 And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. 49
