The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Arsh, the Glorious, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
