Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
The unbelievers among the People of the Book and the idolaters would never desist until the Clear Proof came to them. 1 An apostle from Allah, reciting pure pages, 2 Wherein are all the right ordinances. 3 Now those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime did break up their unity [of faith] after such an evidence of the truth had come to them. 4 They were commanded only to serve God with all-exclusive faith in Him, to be upright, and to fulfil their devotional obligations, and to give zakat; for this is the even way. 5 Lo! those who disbelieve, among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst of created beings. 6 (And) lo! those who believe and do good works are the best of created beings. 7 Their reward [awaits them] with God: gardens of perpetual bliss, through which running waters flow, therein to abide beyond the count of time; well-pleased is God with them, and well-pleased are they with Him: all this awaits him who of his Sustainer stands in awe!. 8
