Surely the people of al-Hijr also rejected the Messengers, calling them liars. 80 And We brought Our signs unto them, yet they were averting themselves therefrom. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Do not direct your eyes towards the things We have given to some of their couples to enjoy, and do not at all grieve because of them, and take the Muslims within the folds of your mercy. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 for what they have done 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 who set up another god with God, but they shall soon learn. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
