Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
