۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 [To which] the others will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were bereft of all faith! 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 So our Lord's Word is realised against us; we are tasting it. 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 Verily when it was said unto them: there is no god but Allah, they ever grew stiff-necked. 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But Allah's chosen servants (shall be spared this woeful end). 40 Those will have a provision determined - 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 As though they were eggs hidden. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be recompensed?" 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 Verily this! that is the supreme achievement. 60 For the like of this, then, let them labour, those who labour [in God's way]! 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire: 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 And thereafter verily they shall have thereon a draught of boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 See how terrible was the end of those who were warned. 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
