Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 by the ships which smoothly sail on the oceans, 3 and the partitioners, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
