Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
