He it is Who hath created for you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye! 78 And it is He Who has created you on the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered back. 79 And He it is Who quickeneth and causeth to die, and His is the alternation of night and day; will ye not then reflect? 80 On the contrary, they said the same as what the former people used to say. 81 They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 82 Certainly we are promised this, and (so were) our fathers aforetime; this is naught but stories of those of old. 83 Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" 84 They will say, "To Allah." Say, "Then will you not remember?" 85 Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?" 86 They will surely say: God. Say thou: will ye not then fear? 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will reply spontaneously, "It is God." Ask them, "Why has falsehood bewitched you?" 89 We have sent them the truth and they, certainly, are liars. 90 Never did Allah take to Himself a son, and never was there with him any (other) god-- in that case would each god have certainly taken away what he created, and some of them would certainly have overpowered others; glory be to Allah above what they describe! 91 The knower of the absent and the present, too exalted is He for what they associate (with Him)! 92
